Cause of Anna's Death
Anna Garcia died from diabetic shock. In two of her autopsy reports the found that her blood glucose levels were sky high. This already leads us to her diabetes, obviously something wasn't working right in her body. Another piece of evidence that leads us in the direction of diabetes is her A1C test. Anna tested 11%. That is a huge red flag. Her body was clearly unable to control her glucose levels at her time of death. The last piece of evidence that I found that lead me in the direction of diabetic shock, was that one of the autopsy reports found ketones in her urine. One of the deadly diseases you can get from diabetes is ketoacidosis. Ketoacidosis is when the blood glucose is unable to be used up properly and ketones build up in the blood. This can be deadly if left untreated. I was able to make my prediction of Anna's cause of death by looking at Activity 1.3.1, 2.2.1, and 2.3.3 Autopsy Reports because in lab we tested and learned about the things the autopsy reports found, and therefore I am now educated enough about them to know what they mean in detail. Diabetic shock is the most reasonable choice for Anna's cause of death because we haven't learned anything else, and all of her autopsy reports lead me to that conclusion.
